About Mayana

Mayana took the unconventional path to design. Raised in a creative home by an artist mother who also ran a clothing label, she grew up surrounded by fabrics, embroideries, and lace — an early spark that stayed with her. After earning a degree in economics and a master’s in business, she began her career in banking, an experience that built the foundation for her journey into entrepreneurship.

“Creativity is something you’re born with; design is something you learn.” Over the past seven years, Mayana has nurtured a strong, detail-driven design team — each member encouraged to bring their unique perspective to the table. As a founder, she believes in collaborative creativity and values diversity of thought.

A firm believer in women’s empowerment, Mayana prioritizes hiring qualified women wherever she can and is deeply committed to building a brand with purpose and social impact. Outside work, she’s a mom to a spirited teenager and two beloved dogs. She finds joy in travel, photography, and food — and advocates for women to embrace nonlinear career paths, shift gears when needed, and always chase what feels meaningful.
